Long ago, a traveling scholar saved a nest of magpies from a serpent's jaws. Overcome with gratitude, the mother magpie swore fealty to the scholar and his descendants for all eternity. Nowadays, Baek Dohan thinks the stories his grandfather used to tell him are just that - stories. Rather than thinking about it, he focuses on his career…and his disastrous love life. So naturally, when a super hot man moves in next door, he’s overjoyed. Things seem normal, until Dohan finds himself in need of help. Praying to the gods he doesn’t think exist, no one is more surprised than he when a magpie swoops in to save the day. And as if things couldn’t get any weirder, Dohan soon finds himself being followed by a strange man who seems to have been plucked straight out of the past! The man, Kangho, claims to be a magpie sworn to protect him, but why does he have such a problem with the man next door? It seems impossible, but could grandpa’s stories have had some truth to them all along…?
